Round11 - RattleSnakePoint (Canada)

Round 11, and we were at the Rattlesnake Point in Canada. The very long 7KM track with long straights and fast sweeping corners.
Maranello55, having made a good start and taking the led followed by Fahad, faced a techinal glitch and had to leave the race. Which left Fahad in the led, but Zul, who had been away for a while made a strong comeback and was immediately on pace and pushing Fahad for the led. Zul proved to be too good for Fahad, as error started creeping in and the tires were wearing out, Zul took the lead on lap 5 and didnt look back from there on and claimed his comeback win.
In the Feature Race, Maranello55 just showed how strong he was and grabbed the win from Antonio. They changed places a couple of times but literally the two were in their own league and way in front of the other drivers. While Zul managed to finish in 3rd place.
So can Zul put on a show and beat Maranello55 to the championship?
Only time will tell us.

Round12 - Suzuka (Japan)

The much anticipated Round 12 of Season 13 finally got underway at the beautiful and techinal track of Suzuka Circuit.
With the change in mod and race format, it would be interesting to find out who would come out on top. Throughout the week it had been Gornes, who had been setting the pace and making the rest of the pack follow him.
With Qualifying back, it was all about Gornes from the moment the session started. With a Pole Position, FLAP and the Win itself, it was sheer dominance from the word go.
Multiple champion Maranello55 came in 2nd place, and veteran driver Madnoren, finished in the last podium spot, and thus finally ending his podium draught.
So the first race after the mod change already saw a change in orders? Will this continue? Guess we will have to wait till the 20th January 2012 for the next round.

Round10 - Adelaide (Australia)

Yes, we now returned to the land of V8. Adelaide Street Circuit, which is a very challenging track with lots of slow speed turns.
Congo_Toey claimed his first win at MSR, with a error free drive. He led the Sprint from the green lights to chequered. His win now has made the drivers standing more interesting in the mid pack. Just 75 points seperate 5 drivers and with another 7 Rounds and 14 races to go, anything is possible.
Maranello55 and Fahad had their own battle through out the race and it was a close one. Fahad already having made up to 6th place from the back of the grid was caught in a pile up and hard to do all the work again. On lap 2, Maranello55 was involved with an incident with Kamal and that gave Fahad the opportunity to make his move and from there on, both the driver were just following each other around the track until the penultimate lap, where Fahad got caught up with Gornes and both of them made and error and that gave Maranello55 the chance to pass him and claim yet another podium finish.
The Feature Race Fahad claiming his 4th win out of the last 6 races, he led the race from the start to the chequered flag. Also Antonio, who had missed on several rounds, managed to put on a good show and pipped Maranello55 for a 2nd place finish. The race which lasted for 44 laps, meant it was heavy on the tires. Most of the drivers were struggling with tires and opted for a two stop strategy only the top 3 finishers were on a one stopper.
